Sewing Project: Doll Dress

I don't sew that often, but I have fun when I do!
Here is a doll dress that I made awhile ago,
with the help of my sister, who sews very well.

A side view of the bonnet and dress

Isn't she a pretty doll? *smiles* Her name is "Elsie."

What a pretty little dress! Maybe I ought to try making a doll's dress for my little sister; she'd love it! Just out of interest, did you make it for a doll of your own or for some little girl's doll?

P. S. In answer to the question you asked on my blog: yes, I did design the header myself, using Photoshop and a photo I took a while ago.

Thank you, Anna! Yes, this dress was for my doll, but I am planning on making another for a little girl that I know. :)

very cute, Amy!! I love pink and gingham and you did really well with the dress and bonnet. I'm so behind in 'personal' sewing or 'real clothes' stuff that it's hard to think about something like this!! But it is a lot of fun. :) I have to add especially when you do it for someone else (I've made doll dresses for my sisters before) and the little girls just LOVE it. I'm sure that by doing it for whatever girl you are talking about, you will make her day time and time again, that's so sweet!

Right now it's just a graphic, but I'm hoping to get a "real" one taken pretty soon. I'm not sure how to do it, I've haven't done many sunset pictures...do you have some tips?

I look forward to seeing a picture of your quilt! I've enjoyed making some baby quilts recently out of vintage linen.

Have a wonderful day!
