Some favorite things about fall

free digital photos
Bonfires and Hotdog roasts on cold, starry nights

Long walks in the cold, fall air, beneath colorful trees...

Uniquely shaped gourds, and bright orange pumpkins

Collecting bright leaves to use for fall decorations and handmade cards.

And memories...

This picture reminds me of my siblings when we were younger.
We would walk around the 80 acre property where we lived,
having so many adventures and making such special memories.
We used to walk through the freshly harvested cornfields, picking up old
leftover dried corn on the cob, while flocks of Canadian geese flew
above us in "V" shapes, honking all the while.  Such fun times!!

Happy Fall!!

What are some things that you love to do in the Fall?

Very pretty pictures! :) Having a bonfire and roasting some hotdogs sounds like a lot of fun right now--I love the feeling of the crisp, cool air in the evenings!

Good Morning from Maine!
We love fall here on the coast...it is always so beautiful... a tapestry of brilliant color... from the reds, orange, and golden falling leaves to the dazzling blue-green foaming waves... truly our Creator's handiwork!

I love so many things about fall, Miss Amy. Long walks down our dirt road through the woods...fresh crisp apples off the tree...the smell of our woodstove... warm cider...
it is such a blessing for us to live in New England because each season is so different... we always have wonderful changes to look forward to!

Beautiful post, Miss Amy...have a lovely day!
Sweet blessings,
Mrs. Laura

It sounds lovely up there in Maine, Mrs.Laura!! I would love to visit your state someday, Lord willing. It sounds like you must live near the ocean, it must be so beautiful!! Are you anywhere near Portland Head Lighthouse?

You nailed it! :D Last Saturday we went to pick my parents-in-law from a small holiday they'd had up in the mountains, and my husband and I about did all of what you've described! We had adventures, picked up pretty leaves, had a lovely walk with them, marveled at the shapes and colours of various kinds of squashes and pumpkins... Oh, isn't Autumn a beautiful season!

Yes, it is! It sounds like you both had a lovely time at your in-laws. :) And then Thanksgiving is right around the corner, with delicious pumpkin pie, turkey cranberry sauce and sweet times with friends and family! =) Truly we need to thank God for all His good gifts to us!

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
