Apple Crisp


4 cups. peeled and thinly sliced tart apples (about 4 cups)
2/3 to 3/4 cup (organic) brown sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose unbleached flour
1/2 cup oats
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Heat oven to 375°F. Grease an 8x8x2 baking dish/pan.

Place apple slices in pan. Mix remaining ingredients thoroughly, using a fork. Sprinkle over the apples. Bake 30 minutes or until apples are tender and top is golden brown.

Serve warm if possible, and if desired, with Vanilla Ice Cream.

Yummy! Fall is the perfect time for warm apple crisp. Have you ever tried an apple called Honey Crisp? I think they are my new favorite...they're kind of expensive though.

No, I've never tried "Honey Crisp" apples. They sound really good though! I hope you all are doing well, miss you!

Amy, I miss you too! I wish you and JoAnna could have come up with Ian! It was definitely fun getting to spend some time with Ian this week:)

I haven't been feeling the best the last few weeks, but hopefully once I start doing better we can plan a time to come down to visit:) I know Timothy would love to meet you all:)
