This photo reminds me of my sisters and I
when we were younger and had tea parties. We sometime would make
"tents" out of sheets and chairs and have a tea party underneath. *smile* We had lots of fun!

This is a recipe that Bethany (sister of blogger Jennifer) submitted for the cookie
contest that I hosted on my previous blog. My sisters and I recently had a candlelit
tea party and we made these. They are so yummy!

Chocolate Chip cookie Dough Truffles
2 sticks softened butter
1 c brown sugar
1 c sugar
3/4 c mini semi-sweet Chocolate chips
2 tsp.vanilla
2 1/2 c flour
1 package of milk chocolate almond bark
1 Tbs. shortening
In a medium sized bowl, mix in your sugars with the melted butter. Add in your vanilla, and the flour. After it's all mixed up, you can add the chocolate chips. Set into freezer for about 10 min. so it will start to harden. Then roll into about 1 inch balls and then place into freezer for at least 15 min. While the cookie balls are freezing, melt the milk chocolate in a bowl with 1 Tbs. shortening. Then with fork, drop the cookie balls into the chocolate and cover completely. Remove from the chocolate and place on a piece of wax paper. They should begin to harden as they sit, if not place in freezer.

Oh, I love tea parties! And aren't those troufles (sp?) so good?! My mom and I are planning a tea party this fall for some ladies in our church. I'm sure it will be fun!

Tea parties are a lot of fun!! Those truffles look really good...we ought to try them. :)
Oh how yummy! My favorite kind of tea is licorice. Very cozy in winter.

Grace, It would be so fun to have a special tea party again, when you come down!
Marie Pauline, we have a tea that tastes kind of like licorice, and it is very good!

Those sure look delicious... I love the new look! :)
You should try Harney and Sons brand of Hot Cinnamon Spice. MMMmmmmmm. It tastes like you're drinking red hots(the candy). So much like fall.
Oh, and I love Celestial Seasonings Nutcracker Sweet tea. I buy extra at the holidays so that I can have it year-round.
Mmm, I like "Nutcracker sweet" tea, too! :)
